Enroute you could take a quick pitstop for experiencing snowmobile tour on top of a glacier. Upon arriving in Borgarfjo?rður area early afternoon check in to your hotel in Borgarnes the main junction and gateway to Snaefellsnes National Park. After you’ve settled at your hotel head out for a soothing geothermal bath at Krauma just 20 mins drive from Borgarnes.

After a good night’s rest today you will embark your journey to the magical Snæfellsnes peninsula over a 1 hour drive from Borgarnes. Your highlight of the day will undoubtedly be the Snæfellsjokull glacier, believed by many to be one of Earth’s seven major energy centers. It was also used as the backdrop to Jules Verne’s famous novel “Journey to the Centre of the Earth.”. Onroute you could stop at Djupalonssandur, a pebble-filled beach with four famed “lifting stones” that were used in old days to test men‘s strength for jobs on fishing boats. Your drive along the coast will pass through stunning sights such as the Dritvik Cove, the Lo?ndrangar Cliffs, the Arnarstapi Cliffs, the hamlet of Hellnar and various other small fishing villages. Furtheron drive back to Borgarnes for an overnight stay.
Golden Circle

Next morning after a hearty breakfast you embark you journey on the scenic routes that showcases three of Iceland’s most spectacular wonders on the Golden Circle Route starting with driving 1 hour 20 minutes towards east Thingvellir National Park where you can walk on the rift valley between North American and Eurasian tectonic plates.
Snorkel in world’s clearest water of Silfra glacial water between the tectonic plates
Here you will get to snorkel in Silfra one of the clearest bodies of water on earth with up to 120 meters of visibility. Silfra is a fissure created by the separation of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates cutting through Iceland. The Silfra fissure fills with glacial water that has been filtered underground for decades through hardened, porous lava rock. This is an absolutely incredible experience and Travel Engineers recommend pre booking this excursion.
Haukadalur Geothermal area and natural Strokkur watersprouts 98 feet above the ground
Next up head to Haukadalur valley geothermal area approximately 50 mins from Thingvellir National Park. This incredible geothermal region of Geysir, known for its hot springs and geysers. Take in the bubbling pools and steam vents, and see Strokkur, a waterspout that shoots to around 98 feet (30 meters) in the air.
Spectacular Gullfoss Waterfalls
Furtheron, 10 mins from the Geysir drive to the majestic Gullfoss waterfall located on the Hevita River for spectacular views of the untouched forces of nature. Enjoy a nice meal and coffee next to the waterfall at the café before heading back to Reykjavik over 1 hour 50 minutes drive.
3000 year old volcanic crater Lake Kerid
40 mins Enroute Reykjavik stop at the last wonder a 3000 year old volcanic crater lake Kerid with distinctive red volcanic rock slopes and the actual lake itself is relatively shallow and as a result of minerals from the surrounding soil, the water is a unique and strikingly vivid aquamarine shade of blue.

Majestic Seljalandsfoss waterfall and hidden paths behind the waterfall to neighbouring Skógafoss waterfall
After a good night’s sleep today you head to the south coast of Iceland starting with the graceful fairytale like waterfall Seljalandsfross over 1 hour 45 minutes’ drive. Here, hidden paths will lead you to behind the waterfall and through the misty cascade to Skógafoss, another neighboring waterfall with a 197-foot (60-meter) drop. You will get numerous photo opportunities here, as the area is known for its magnificent views.
Drive to Coastal Village Vik with volcanic beach and basalt cliffs Dyrhólaey and Reynisdrangar
Drive another 50 mins towards the coastal village Vik and take a stop to admire the black volcanic beach perfectly framed with dramatic Dyrhólaey and Reynisdrangar basalt cliff like rock formation shooting out of the ocean in the backdrop.
After this you will get to see most famous natural wonders of the area just 30 mins drive from Vik, the Sólheimajökull and Mýrdalsjökull glaciers, which are constantly moving!

Once you have traversed the road under Eyjafjallajo?kull and My?rdalsjo?kull, you will continue to the volcanic wonderland of the Reykjanes Peninsula, which reminds you that Iceland is very much alive with natural geothermal energy. This drive will be of approximately 4 hours from Kirkjubæjarklaustur.
End your trip with a relaxing Geothermal spa at Blue Lagoon
Our Travel Engineer recommend visiting the bubbling mud pots at Seltu?n and Lake Kleifarvatn before reaching the world famous Blue Lagoon geothermal Spa over 1 hour drive from Reykjanes. The Blue Lagoon ?s water is rich in silica and blue-green algae, giving the lagoon its reputed healing powers and characteristic milky blue colour. We recommend the In-water massages which needs to be booked in advance or just unwind in a sauna and steam bath or get a soothing massage under the mini waterfall.
You now head to Reykjavik just 15 mins from the Blue Lagoon by early evening where you drop off your car at the car rental and check in to your hotel for an overnight stay before departing back to India the next day!
