Your Peruvian journey begins with its charming colonial jewel and its capital city Peru over a 23 hour flight from Delhi. As you arrive this vibrant city perched over the blue pacific, we sweep you away to your hotel to get some rest before you step out to explore the city. Later in the evening get yourself acquainted to the city admiring the revered pre Columbian sites.
After a good night’s rest next morning head out to 16th century Plaza Mayor, city’s main square that features many important architectural monuments and buildings including a magnificent bronze fountain dating from 1650, the Archbishop's Palace with its elegant balconies and the Government Palace dating from 1924.

You will also visit the Cathedral and the San Francisco Convent, built in the 17th century, and its “Catacombs” ancient underground cemetery of Lima.

Today you will fly to the charming city of Cusco with its colonial buildings, vibrant outdoor cafes, beautiful old churches and rather friendly locals over a 1 hour 30 mins flight from Lima. You will spend your first day discovering the true spirit of this Incan capital, the cherished UNESCO site. Starting with a guided tour where your guide will make you discover the hidden gems of the city. Later in the evening soak up the colonial vibe and culture of the city at leisure.
Explore Machu Picchu - The new wonder of the World
Today you will embark your journey to one of the new wonders of the world, An ancient Inca citadel of Machu Picchu which was built in stone among the flanks of two hills belonging to the eastern mountain range of the Andes, descending into the Amazonian upper sylvan with stunning panoramic views. An extraordinary example of architecture and engineering our Travel Engineers have planned your visit to this iconic site over a 4 hour train journey from Cusco to Machu Picchu. Since it’s a long journey, our Travel Engineers recommend taking an early morning train to make the best of your day there and returning back to Cusco in time.
Go back in time as you explore the history and Inca ruins of Sacred Valley
After a good night’s rest on your last day you will head out to spend the day in sacred city with lush green valley with rich history and inca ruins the Sacred Valley over a 2 hour train from Cusco. Your train will stop at the beautiful town Ollantaytambo with lovely cobbled streets and quaint cafes. This town is the best example of an Inca town planning. Our Travel Engineers recommend a definite stop at Heart’s café for coffee and snacks and visit the famous chocolate town here. Further explore the Pisa town constructed over the Inca settlement one of the top market in the region. Packed with wide array of locally produced arts and craft, Pisac is a perfect place to indulge in some shopping. Early in the evening take a train back to Cusco.
Luxury Camping at one of the World’s coolest hotel, SKYLODGES
Sacred Valley is also home to the coolest hotel in the world, the SKYLODGES with small glass rooms that off the side of the cliffs. Its like a luxury camping under the stars with spectacular views from your bed! Our Travel Engineers recommend pre booking this in advance as its high on demand and conveniently located about 40 mins from Cusco in Sacred Valley.
Alternatively, you can also choose to stay in Sacred valley on your second night after Machu Picchu and return back to Cusco. However, the train from Cusco to Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu has baggage restrictions, hence Travel Engineers recommend keeping this into consideration when planning a stay here.
Take a day trip to colourful Rainbow Mountain
Today after a hearty breakfast at your hotel, plan a day trip to famous colourful Rainbow Mountains in the high Andes Mountains in Peru. As the name rightly suggests Rainbow mountains literally look like a reflection of rainbow on the mountain which is actually formed by exposure of sedimentary mineral layers in the mountain to erosion.
There are numerous tours to Rainbow Mountains which is just 3 hours from Cusco, you could opt for either trek 3 hours up on top of Rainbow Mountain or just take a quick 30 mins tour for spectacular views of the mountain.
On your last day its time bid a goodbye to Latin America’s gem! You will fly back to Lima from where you will return back to India.
