DAY 1: ARRIVAL TROMSØ
Arrival to Tromsø and private transfer with English speaking driver to your hotel. If your flight arrives early you have a full day at leisure to explore the city.
Overnight: Radisson Blu (or similar).

DAY 2: TROMSØ - Evening Snowmobile Safari with an opportunity to spot Northern Lights
Spend your day at leisure and explore the beautiful scenic city of Tromso. Gear up for the exciting Snowmobile Safari this evening.
17:00-24:00 Snowmobile Safari (in regular with English-speaking guide)/ 2 persons per snowmobile- The exciting Snowmobile safari gives you the opportunity to venture far into the wilderness. Experience the mountains of the far north. Upon arrival at the wilderness centre of Camp Tamok, you will be provided with all the warm clothes and shoes necessary. You will begin the adventure with a thorough safety introduction and practical demonstration.
You don't need any previous skills to drive a snowmobile, all you need is normal physical condition. You will be driving in pairs, one driver and one passenger on each snowmobile, with the opportunity to switch places during the trip. You will embark upon a tour that will bring you past scenic mountains and through the dramatic snow-covered Finn valley, starting at 250m above sea level and climbing up to 900m. The trail is 15 km each way, 30 km in total, and you'll be on the snowmobile for approximately 2-2.5 hours. Due to the dramatic topography, a reduced speed is maintained during parts of the tour. The top point of the trail is the ice-covered lake of Finn, where you can relax and admire the scenery of Finndalen. If time and weather permit, you can try out ice fishing on this lake. At the end of the trip, you will be served a hot meal and coffee in a cozy dining lavvu (Sami tent), surrounding the bonfire. Evening trips give you a good opportunity to experience the Northern Lights.
NOTE:
Pick-up by bus or minibus in the city centre of Tromso, outside the Scandic Ishavshotel / Radisson Blu by the harbour. Transfer time is 75-minutes to Camp Tamok: the starting and ending point for your excursion 17:00 outside The Scandic Ishavshotel by the harbour, Tromso town centre. Return 24:00 4.5 hours + transport (total 7 hours)

DAY 3: TROMSØ - Discover Northern Lights from Aurora Camp & Husky Visit
Morning to relax and explore further the city.
Optional Whale Watching Tour
If you are traveling anytime from December to end of January, Travel Engineers recommend experiencing the exclusive whale watching and fjord cruise where you will cruise through the amazing winter fjords of Northern Norway admiring the beautiful Arctic landscapes and fjords with a chance to spot the humpback whale, killer whale (orca), harbour porpoise and sometime even the fin whale. Its by far the most ethereal experience to witness these dive in and out of the water with picture perfect backdrop of snowcapped fjords.
This excursion is not a part of this package and is payable addtional over and above the package cost. However is highly recomended by Travel Engineers for passengers traveling in the month of December & January.
Please note that just like Northern Lights, whale sightings cannot be guaranteed, as a consequence of weather conditions and whales natural behaviour. The arctic weather forces are an unpredictable and can change quickly and wild animals behaviors are affected by weather, food recourses, temperature and undiscovered causes.
18:45-23:00 Northern Lights from Aurora camp & husky visit (in regular with English-speaking guide)- Discover the Northern Lights along with our 300 Husky friends. You will be take to the Aurora camp along where our professional guides who will host you for the evening. Aurora Camp is a fantastic vantage point for the Aurora Borealis at our centre, only 25 minutes outside of Tromsø. You will get to visit 300 Huskiea and our puppies.
Relax outside by the camp fire in and keep warm in the Arctic as we wait for the Northern Lights to dance across the sky. Should you wish to photograph them Travel Engineers would recommend using a tripod. Make sure you've made all necessary settings in your camera to capture the lights in the dark.
During the visit you will be provided with a warm meal of Norwegian still Bacalao, local Stock fish (cod) prepared with tomato sauce (vegetarian meal available upon request) served in a traditional roundhouse.

DAY 4: TROMSØ - Reindeer Sledding , Reindeer Feeding and exploring the Sami- Culture
After a hearty breakfast at your hotel , you will set out for an exciting day ahead.
10:00-14:00 Reindeer Sledding, Reindeer Feeding and Sami Culture (in regular with English-speaking guide)
Pickup in the city centre before you can enjoy a short, seaside drive (around 25 minutes from the city) to where the reindeer and sleds are waiting. Join Sami guides for an unforgettable experience of reindeer sledding (approx. 35 minutes) and Sami culture. After the sledding you will visit their camp and have a chance to feed the herd of around 200 reindeer. Then you will gather inside the lavuu (Sami tent) for a hot traditional Sami meal and listen to stories about Sami culture around the camp fire. The guide will also Joik for the guests (traditional Sami song). At the camp, you will also be able to participate in the daily feeding and tending of the animals. The herder and his family will tell you about their culture and history, and how their way of life fits in around the reindeer.
